G-type Rail Clamp

The G-type rail clamp is used for temporary rail connection before welding and prevents defects affecting the railway before repairs. It is used as a common temporary fastening part in the railway maintenance department. 
How does a G-type rail clamp work?
When a rail track fracture is found, workers can use a pair or more rail clamps to install the right fishplate on both sides of the rail, so that the train can pass the damaged rail safely. As it doesn’t require the fish bolt and drilling, it is also known as a boltless rail clamp.

The emergency rail clamp is a C-shaped forged steel part made of alloy steel. It is usually used in pairs mainly before the rail track thermit welding. Besides the G-type rail clamp, it is also a common rail joint clamp for temporary railway track reinforcement.

How the Emergency Rail Clamp Works in Railtrack Maintenance

  • Reinforce the welding strips that are judged to be damaged in various ways on the line.
  • Carry out emergency reinforcement treatment when the rail or welding strip breaks.
  • The damage of thermite welding, air pressure welding and resistance welding can be firmly clamped. The damaged rail between sleepers or on sleepers can be clamped universally. Made of alloy steel, it is beautiful in shape, light in weight, easy to carry, impact-resistant and long in service life.
  • A spare set is placed at the bottom of each kilometer mark and half-kilometer standard track, which is very timely and convenient to use.
  • When the rail is broken, the operator does not need to carry the bulge splint and first aid equipment to the scene, which reduces the labor intensity of the operator and greatly shortens the treatment time for the broken rail.
