What is Rail Nylon Insulator

The rail nylon insulator also called insulating liner, it is used to adjust rail gauge and provide electrical insulation for the rails from the clips or shoulders and ties, installed between rail and tie plate, rail nylon insulator can adjust rail gauge and electrically insulating railroad rails, clips and bolts from the interior of a concrete tie or sleeper. Its function is similar to rail pad, only it is located above rail foot and it is thicker than rail pad. At present it is standard fastener part for either high speed or high load train.

N Rail Nylon Insulator

E-type rail insulators are used in E-clip fastening systems, working together with E-clips, rail shoulders and rail pads; SKL rail insulators are also called guide plates, used in SKL fastening systems, combined with SKL tension clips, screw spikes, plastic dowels, flat washers and rail pads. N rail insulators are used in N clip rail fastening systems, working together with other fastener parts including N clips, screw spikes and spring washers.
