How does SNGM-180 Rail Grinding Machine Work

This portable type rail grinding machine is powered by an internal combustion engine, the grinding machine transmits power through a centrifugal clutch and belt drive system to the spindle, driving the grinding wheel to rotate at high speed for rail grinding operations. The SNGM-180 grinding machine is mainly consists of the engine, transmission system, spindle assembly, handles, and protective guards.

3 Steps for Rail Grinding Machine Operation

There are basically 3 steps for operating SNGM-180 rail grinding machine: firstly user shall add fuel and engine oil at a proper ratio, and install the grinding wheels or replace it if it is worn, then start and warm up the machine before the grinding work, here are the details:  

• Fuel Mixing: Mix gasoline with two-stroke engine oil at a ratio of 50:1 (or 25:1 when using commercially available two-stroke oil). Always follow the instructions provided in the engine manufacturer’s manual supplied with the machine.
• Grinding Wheel Inspection & Replacement
  Before operation, inspect the grinding wheel for cracks, moisture damage, deformation, or uneven surfaces. Replace immediately if any defect is found.
  To replace the wheel, press the spindle locking button (for nut removal only; never use it as a brake), and loosen the locking nut using the supplied wrench. Ensure the nut is fully tightened after installation. If removal is difficult, use a tool to hold the flat section at the back of the grinding wheel.

• Starting & Grinding Operation
  Start the engine and allow it to idle for at least 30 seconds for warm-up.
  Hold the front and rear handles firmly with both hands. Once the machine runs smoothly, gradually increase the throttle.
  Begin grinding only after confirming stable operation, no abnormal noise, and minimal vibration.
