8 steps of elastic rail clips production process

Rail Elastic Clip Products

Elastic Rail Clip Production Process:

  • Raw materials and inspection
    The raw materials used in the project are round steel bar(φ 13mm). After transported to the factory, round steel bar is inspected and stored in raw material storage place for production and use.
  • Automatically Cutting to Length
    The round steel is sent to the hydraulic cutting machine for cutting, and round bar length is different according to the specific product, cutting length is controlled within the range of 430 mm.
  • Electric Heating
    After round steel is cut, it is continuously fed into an intermediate frequency heating furnace (all solid state induction heater) for heating to 1050 °C. (Use electric heating, no particulate matter is produced), heating time is about 10s.
  • Stamping Molding
    After heating, round steel bar is fed into a press and bent up and down through the mold (requires three times of punching) to finally form a spring strip product. The transfer is carried out using a robotic intelligent handling system during the stamping process.
  • Quenching
    Elastic rail clip with qualified shape will enter the quenching tank through mesh belt for quenching, the quenching temperature is 800 °C, and quenching time is 10 minutes.
  • Tempering
    After quenching, elastic rail clips are naturally cooled. After cooling, the elastic rail clips enter the tempering furnace for tempering, which is heated by natural gas, and the temperature is generally about 400 °C. The main purpose of tempering is to improve product strength, plasticity and toughness, and tempering time lasts for 90 minutes.
  • Rust Prevention
    After tempering, elastic rail clip is coated with anti-rust liquid.
  • Finished Product Inspection
    Elastic rail clips passed inspection are the finished product.
